How SMS Notifications Work
Scroll & Spirit sends SMS notifications to help church members coordinate book lending. Messages include loan requests, approvals, due date reminders, and overdue notices.
How Members Opt In
Members opt in to SMS notifications through their Scroll & Spirit profile settings after creating an account. The opt-in flow works as follows:
Opting Out
Members can opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS from Scroll & Spirit
- Removing their phone number from their profile settings at scrollandspirit.com
After opting out, no further SMS messages will be sent.
Types of Messages
- New book loan request (sent to librarian)
- Loan request approved or declined (sent to member)
- Book due date reminder — 3 days before due
- Overdue notice
- Loan extension confirmation
Message frequency varies based on library activity. Message and data rates may apply.
